Underglaze Decals

Decals for application beneath transparent glaze, for firing at 1000–1200°C

Instructions:

– apply to dry unfired or bisque-fired ware

– cut the required section of the design, place it face down on the surface and gently moisten with a brush or sponge; carefully remove the paper after a few minutes

– once dry, bisque fire, cover with transparent glaze and fire again. If applied to already bisque-fired ware, cover with glaze and fire.

– designs and individual sections can be arranged into interesting collages and combined with other underglaze colours, such as KD colours, engobes and ceramic stains
