Front-Loading Chamber Kilns

Chamber kilns have a more robust construction. Thicker walls improve insulation, but also provide more material to absorb heat and increase weight and cost.

The firing chamber shape accommodates a more varied load: wheel-thrown ware can be fired alongside tiles, plaques, cast pieces and handbuilt objects. It also offers better resistance to corrosion. For rectangular kilns over 100 litres, we generally recommend an upgraded controller for better control of the firing curve.

When purchasing a kiln, customers receive a 10% discount on tools and materials purchased at the same time.
